Supporting meaningful change across all areas of life

Beyond the therapy room

The mind and body are deeply interconnected. Subsequently, mental health and wellbeing do not exist in isolation with factors such as physical health, movement, nutrition, sleep, and daily routines all playing an important role in supporting emotional wellbeing, energy levels, resilience, and quality of life. At The Whole Perspective, we recognise that psychological therapy is often just one part of a broader wellbeing journey and that meaningful and lasting change is supported by considering the broader factors that contribute to health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Consistent with our whole-person approach, we consider the wider context of each individual's circumstances that can influence wellbeing and goal attainment. For some clients, additional support from other practitioners may complement psychological therapy. Where appropriate, we can provide information about referral options to trusted practitioners offering services such as 9D breathwork, nutrition, personal training, kinesiology, homeopathy, and other wellbeing-focused supports.

These services are intended to complement, not replace, psychological care. Any referrals are entirely optional and can be discussed based on your individual needs, preferences, and goals.

Nutrition and Personal Training

We recognise the strong connection between physical and mental wellbeing, and the important role that caring for our bodies can play in how we feel, cope with stress, regulate emotions, and engage in the things that matter most to us. For some individuals, support from a nutritionist and/or personal trainer may complement psychological therapy.

Nutrition support provides practical, personalised guidance to help individuals develop sustainable eating habits that align with their health and wellbeing goals. This may include support with meal planning, nutritional education, improving energy levels, establishing healthier routines, and developing a more balanced relationship with food.

Personal training provides individualised support to help people improve their physical health by building sustainable movement habits. Whether the focus is on increasing activity levels, establishing routine, building confidence, or improving overall health, personal training is tailored to each person's goals, abilities, and lifestyle.

Whether the goal is to build healthier habits, improve physical wellbeing, increase energy, develop sustainable routines, or strengthen confidence and motivation, these services can provide practical guidance and support alongside therapeutic care. By addressing both physical and psychological wellbeing, we aim to support meaningful and lasting change from a whole-person perspective.

Remedial Massage

The connection between physical and mental wellbeing is increasingly recognised, with stress often affecting both the body and mind. Muscle tension, headaches, fatigue, and disrupted sleep are common physical responses to stress and emotional strain.

Remedial massage is a therapeutic treatment that focuses on the assessment and treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues. It uses targeted techniques, such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to support pain management, injury recovery, mobility, and physical wellbeing.

For some individuals, remedial massage may complement psychological care by helping to reduce physical tension, promote relaxation, support sleep quality, and encourage a greater sense of overall wellbeing. By supporting nervous system regulation and physical comfort, remedial massage can form part of a broader approach to managing stress and enhancing wellbeing.

9D Breathwork

9D Breathwork is an immersive, multi-sensory experience that combines conscious breathing with layered audio designed to support nervous system regulation, relaxation, reflection, and emotional processing. Using headphones, participants are guided through a high-definition soundscape incorporating elements such as binaural audio, music, guided coaching, affirmations, and somatic-focused techniques. The experience is designed to minimise external distractions and encourage a state of focused awareness, allowing individuals to connect more deeply with their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally engaged, or more connected to themselves during and after a session. Unlike traditional breathwork, which primarily focuses on the breath itself, 9D Breathwork integrates a range of sensory and audio elements alongside conscious breathing. This combination may support emotional exploration, stress reduction, self-reflection, and the release of physical and emotional tension.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a complementary wellbeing practice that combines principles from Eastern energy traditions with Western understandings of the body and stress. Practitioners use muscle monitoring, along with a range of therapeutic techniques, to explore factors that may be contributing to physical, emotional, mental, or energetic stress. Kinesiology is based on the belief that stress and imbalance can affect overall wellbeing and may be expressed through our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical health. Sessions aim to identify areas of stress and support the body's natural capacity for balance and healing. Depending on the individual's needs, kinesiology may incorporate techniques focused on emotional wellbeing, relaxation, lifestyle factors, movement, nutrition, and personal development.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a complementary health approach that takes a holistic view of wellbeing, considering the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and emotions. Homeopathic practitioners seek to understand the individual as a whole, taking into account their physical symptoms, emotional experiences, lifestyle, and overall health. Homeopathy is based on the principle that a substance capable of producing symptoms in a healthy person may, when prepared in highly diluted forms, support the body's natural healing processes in someone experiencing similar symptoms. Remedies are derived from natural sources, including plants, minerals, and animals, and are selected based on the individual's unique presentation.
